Results of orientational research in the aim of the identification and protection of archaeological monuments on the highway alignment of the Corridor V/c through Bosnia and Herzegovina

Abstract

In the context of the planned construction of the Corridor V/c highway through Bosnia and Herzegovina Centre for Balkan Studies of the ANUBiH has made the beforehand identification of the endangered archaeological monuments in the construction zone of the highway. Identification of those monuments has been made in the first half of 2009 in the frame of the project “Orientation archaeological research on the alignment of the Corridor V/c through the Federation of BiH”, financed by the Federal Ministry of Science and Education. According to the methodology of archeological work, such identification represents first step and inevitable base for the further actions in the range of the protection of the endangered cultural heritage.
