Abstract

In addition to the reconstruction of the natural environment, economic and social relations in prehistoric communities, one of the important tasks of prehistoric archeology is the evaluation of the population. While models of social classification, for example, are based on differences in group size, models of population inflows and outflows require a realistic representation of demographic growth. The intensity of cultural contacts also depends on demographic factors, since the transmission of the corresponding symbol systems very often takes place through exogamous marriages.
