Abstract

The massively cast hryvnia that is disclosed here for the first time was found in Ravna Romania, in the territory where the Glasinac culture spread. Since 1957, it has been privately owned by a family from Sarajevo, which for the time being wishes to remain anonymous. The veterinarian, the father of the current owner, received the hryvnia as a gift for his services in one of the villages in the area. Unfortunately, the owner could not provide me with any more specific information about the find. Neither the position nor the place where the hryvnia was found is known, nor is the finder, so this extremely interesting and valuable object can only be analyzed by typological properties and metallurgical features.
