Pleven sheets of the Bosnian Sofia Gospels

Abstract

The paper analyzes two sheets of the Bosnian Gospels which are kept in the public reading room
“Съгласие 1869” in Pleven under the signature Slav. 2, known in the literature as Pleven sheets. In previous
research, these sheets have been identified as part of the Bosnian Sofia Gospels stored in the “St. St. Cyril and
Methodius” National Library in Sofia, whose critical edition in 2018 was published by Forum Bosnae, and the
digital edition of the text is available in the database Corpus of Medieval Bosnian Texts: New Testament (ANUBiH).
The publication of digital facsimile of Pleven sheets on the web page of the public reading room “Съгласие 1869”
provided an opportunity to prepare a critical edition of these sheets and to comment on their language.
